Slim Photocoupler with 8mm Creepage Distance from Renesas

Renesas Electronics has introduced its new compact, slim photocoupler product, the PS2381-1, achieving the long creepage distance of 8mm required by worldwide safety standards.

The PS2381-1 has a package thickness of just 2.3mm, insulation thickness of 0.4mm between the LED and photo detector and isolation voltage of 5kV. With an operating ambient temperature of 115^oC the PS2381-1 is suitable for most applications including most lighting applications, in particularly LED Lighting.
